Awesome - New Proxmox 3.3 - Firewall inside

Postby FcbInfo » 25th July 2014, 7:04 pm

Hi there.

Proxmox announce the new version 3.3 with Firewall inside.

I have tested it by using /etc/apt/sources.list
# PVE pvetest repository provided by proxmox.com
deb http://download.proxmox.com/debian wheezy pvetest

It shows incredible new system. Now we can do personal rules, groups, classes and use firewall for host and guest in a node.

I hope that can be managed by our fantastic WHMCS modules garden!

Thank you for sharing, we are definitely interested in having this in our modules.
We will make a thorough examination of the new features and see how (and hopefully when) we can update our products.

HTML5 console is genius

Postby nakatasan » 25th September 2014, 10:27 am

HEllo,

proxmox 3.3 is officilay out now.
i don't think someone wants to set firewall from ProxmoxVPS plugin, this is not suser function. But your plugin is missing the most avesome change, HTML5 console. No more bugging with Java security messages (as there is 2-5 of them if you want to connect). No more dissapointed client because of Java, no problem with mobile devices

You haven't supported Spice console for more than year, co please go with HTML5 console support, which is fyi the defult one now. No more hassles, you just click and you are connected

We are currently working on the next release of Proxmox modules. If only API will allow us to implement the feature, we will add the HTML5 console to the module.

Thank you for the idea!

We were trying to add the HTML5 console to upcoming versions of modules. Unfortunately, Proxmox API does not support that yet. Making a workaround is not an option here as it would violate the security of users. Nevertheless, we are going to add the console to the modules as soon as possible, you can be certain about this.

It's in the api docs just run the noVNC client from the whmcs installation.
